Don't Touch My Mobility Aid - Sticker

$3.00

The minority group of people with disabilities is the only marginalized group that any person may join at any moment. Folks who do not identify as disabled cannot guarantee that they will never experience a debilitating accident, illness, or other random event that could render a person disabled in their lifetime. And yet, the disabled population experiences discrimination, ignorance, infantilization, and more to be made to constantly feel inadequate, unimportant, and unworthy of equitable rights and treatment. One way this problem is illustrated is by the vast amounts of able-bodied folks who make it their duty to “help” disabled folks without asking for consent first. Countless times, people in wheelchairs are pushed or moved without warning or being asked. Folks with walkers, crutches, and canes may not need your assistance, and it’s probably not your job to decide if they need help or not.

If you wouldn’t touch someone’s glasses, car, or phone (or other personal possession) without their permission, then you shouldn’t be messing with a person’s mobility aid without their permission.  And if you would mess with someone else’s possessions without consent, we’d prefer you stop that.

This design is for all those folks with mobility aids that want to prevent non-consensual touching, and/or for those who are FED UP with other people touching their mobility aids.

This sticker is approximately 3” in length and made from durable, water resistant vinyl for long term wearability.
