The design says it all: Trans youth deserve to grow into trans adults, who deserve to grow into trans elders. The number of transgender youth who take their own lives is way too high. The number of transgender people who are victims of violent transphobic acts is far too high, especially when speaking about trans women of color.
This digital design calls out the numerous reasons that there are not more trans elders among us, designed in a spiraling pattern intentionally to mimic the cyclical but also slightly chaotic nature of fighting for existence as a trans person.
To my trans folks reading this: You belong on this Earth, exactly as you envision yourself to exist. Your experience is valuable, beautiful, important, and worth protecting!
